Here's my latest illustration! If you're in the Star Cat tier on my Patreon you might have seen the work in progress post for this. In this illustration I practiced using gradient maps for adding color after it was rendered in grayscale. Once I added a gradient map, I used more clipping mask layers to add subtle color details, giving the art some variety. One thing I enjoyed was not having to think about color until the very end, because I can be indecisive with color palettes. Hecate (Hekate) is the Greek goddess of witchcraft, magic, the moon, the night,  and necromancy. Idea Sketch I start with a rough and loose sketch using the Procreate symmetry tool. I know I want to draw Hecate but I’m not sure where I’m going yet. I get a basic composition out and see what I come up with as I go.
